Dedicated public-facing summary of the OML 151 / Matrix relationship
About Us
Who are we
GEC Petroleum Development Company Limited (GPDC) is a Nigerian indigenous exploration and production company, developing oil and gas resources across the Niger Delta and Anambra basins. GPDC is a wholly owned E&P subsidiary of Global Energy Company Limited (GEC), an energy resources and infrastructure group with 35 years of operations in Africa. GPDC holds a portfolio of five oil and gas assets spanning over 8,300 square kilometres of onshore and offshore acreages. Our assets, OML 149, OML 151, OPL 2010, OPL 907, and OPL 917, include three onshore and two offshore blocks. GPDC serves as operator on four of the five licences. Successful drilling campaigns have proved up significant reserves and advanced two assets to development stage, with the Adofi River and Afiando fields positioned for first oil and gas.

Our Mission
Our mission is to attain and maintain pole position as an Oil and Gas Operator from concept and planning to execution. We will achieve this with a highly skilled professional team working together, using common sense and practical experience. We will seek to enhance our competitive position through the formation of strategic alliances with leading Oil and Gas companies.
Our Vision
To be the leading Nigerian Indigenous Independent and the preferred energy value chain Partner in West Africa and beyond.
Strategic Focus
GPDC is currently focused on coming to first oil and is pursuing a two prong strategy of bringing the Adofi River field to first gas and condensate and the Afiando field to first oil. Both have first oil dates of Q2 2027 and Q4 2027 respectively with a target of approximately 100Mscfpd and 17Mbls of liquids both employing an Early Production Scheme (EPS). Full Field Development (FFD) will be pursued on both fields to reach their full field potential of 200Mscf per day/5000 bcpd and 45,000 bopd respectively. First oil and gas will be pursued in the shallower fields and prospects in OPL 2010 followed by proving of deep sitting potentials. Given the availability of existing infrastructure both onshore and offshore, all projects are deemed to be of low to medium risk and fairly modest CAPEX to actualize. Over the next five years, GPDC plans to build a minimum of 250mmbl reserves base with a guaranteed production of at least 50,000 barrels per day. Similarly, we plan to build a net gas reserve base of 3tcf and a 250Mscfpd production over the same period. We will achieve this by:
● Drilling more exploration, appraisal and development wells within our assets.
● Increasing reserves base through aggressive drilling of the deeper Biafra leads and straddle prospects in OPL 2010.
● Continued participation in planned and on-going acquisition opportunities (IOCs divestments, future licensing rounds, etc).
In the medium to long term, GPDC will expand its operations into high prospectivity assets in West Africa, whilst pursuing major gas utilization projects in partnership with strategic gas technology companies, focused on LNG, GTL, fertilizers, etc. We also have a strong interest in developing major gas-fired power plants (IPP), utilizing our significant gas resources in the contract areas

Our Team
The team section has been re-framed for clarity, with executive and non-executive groupings and profile cards that can accept updated bios and headshots as soon as the GEC team confirms the final roster.

Partnerships
Partners
The redesign brief calls for a dedicated partner narrative, with particular attention to OML 151 and the relationship with Matrix. This is both a credibility and business-development need.
The website should treat partnerships as a strategic strength rather than an afterthought, summarizing where GPDC leads, where it collaborates, and how shared delivery capability supports asset development.
